Consonare Chorale holds auditions during the summer and in between concerts to fill specific openings. Auditions are scheduled by appointment and referral. We are looking for quality people who have passion and skill for choral octavo singing. Vocalists should exhibit the ability to sustain a pure tone, blend within section/ensemble, and have sight-reading skill.
Auditions include:
***Vocalizing
***Melodic & Rhythmic sight-reading
***"America the
Beautiful"
***Reading 3-4 pages of literature from upcoming concert season. (Given by director @ audition.)
After the audition you will receive feedback usually
within 7-days.
Please do not feel nervous. This is more of a
"get-to-know" your voice for our artistic director! Bring your audition application filled out and a good attitude! We are a community that supports music making at the highest level and it is
important that we find a good fit for you, the ensemble, and our organizational

We are currenlty a dues based choir with scholarship applications available. Please do not let cost be a deterrant from auditioning. It’s about the music! As grants, private funding, and our nonprofit status play a more prominent role in our organization, dues will
decrease.
